Location: 2026 ATCEM, Sheraton Anchorage Hotel

401 East 6th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501

Event Information:

Presented by Tribal TAB Partner Akana and the Tribal TAB team at the 2026 ATCEM, this interactive hands-on training focuses on developing effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Tribal Environmental offices and Tribal Response Programs. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what SOPs are, the benefits they provide, and how they support consistency, continuity, and efficiency in program operations.

The session will cover key components of effective SOPs, practical tips for writing and implementation, and a review of real-world examples of both successful and unsuccessful SOPs. Through small-group exercises, participants will apply what they learn by building an outline for an SOP tailored to an aspect of their own work or program.

Please bring pen and paper or a laptop to draft your SOP outline—and come ready to learn, collaborate, and have fun along the way.
